Hello hello! I hope you're all enjoying the warm weather and getting your tan on. Now that we're well into summer, I can do what I love best: wear less and go out more (shoutout to Drake - forever an inspiration). I love layering but the period from June-August is great because you get to wear frivolous items, open-toe shoes and all those other cute things.
In case you didn't notice, this is the year of the crop top. Wait, in fact, I feel like every past year since 2013 has been its "it year". It makes sense because these type of tops are versatile so you can wear them with anything, whether it be for a daytime or night time look.
I believe the first time I bought a crop top was in March on St. Patrick's Day. My friends and I wanted to go out and celebrate and I didn't own anything for the occasion. Luckily for me, crop top heaven aka American Apparel was right down the street from my place so I went and grabbed the first green shirt I could find.
Fast forward to a couple of months later, my closet went from having one to many, many more(0-100 real quick). They've kind of become an obsession now, especially because of the humid weather. No matter how many times I'll hear my mother say "you own enough already" I will still.buy.more.
As you can see, I'm wearing a simple black halter crop from American Apparel. Of course you can get it from any store but for some reason I love AA tops because of the material and their flattering fit.
Woah almost forgot to talk about these boyfriend jeans! I love the light wash and baggy fit. I got them on sale during Black Friday two years ago and #Iregretnothing.
(Oh and if you look closely, you'll see my friend Sarah in the window reflection haha! She'll be making another appearance at the end of this post)!
This was overall a casual outfit. The block heels elevate the look a bit, but nothing too extravagant. I actually love how simple everything was. It gave off a minimal yet still trendy vibe.
And here's Sarah again! We were both working on our blogs so we ended up taking a shot together in Soho. We're actually really foolish people so it was a day filled with loads of funny moments, snapchats and of course...selfies!
Thanks for reading! See you soon <3.
xx
